John Salmons can adjust to his new role (for chrissake he only took 14 shots on Thursday–Evans and Thornton took 19-20 shooting attempts apiece and Cousins took 7 shots in 14 mins of action) if Evans/Cousins make the game easier for their teammates than Salmons shooting numbers will only go up I suspect in part because it will be in a better flow and rhythm than the shots that previously (as wide open as a number of them were) were not going in as often.

What I found encouraging about Salmons is that he turned into two stellar defensive efforts on Monta Ellis and Gerald Wallace–two players that have given the Kings numerous fits in recent seasons–and handled it in a way that suggests that a new role is something Salmons will embrace if other teammates are doing their jobs.

The only real question that remains with Salmons, IMO, is how effective can he be over the long term and not whether his career is in dire straits as many have suggested.
