Smart decision by the team. I think with Coach Hughley and DMC’s mom he is going be kept on the straight and narrow. I have no idea what he’s being paid but no doubt it is a fraction of what Cousins is being paid. Good investment. I wonder if the Kings had made the same kind of investment in Spencer if they could have found someone who could have got through to him.

If Cousins wins ROY they’ll (the media) attribute it to Hughley. Which might not be all that far off! This upcoming season keeps looking more interesting.

Really like this hire. Brings someone in that Boogie is comfortable with and who has helped him grow as a player. He’s going to need a mentor for his first few years, and Hughley seems like a good fit. This is a really good sign that the Kings are dedicated to developing this kid correctly, and even moreso after seeing how Shapiro is teaching him some good habits too.

Interesting how he used to coach DMC in high school. Was this why he was hired?
