Issue at SF? Casspi is just as good or better than any SF in this draft besides Wes (Whom is 2.5 years older), and he’s likely gone. Casspi + Greene is a good duo in my opinion.

Zach, you hit the nail on the head – small-market teams have to go for the home run when they have top-5 picks, because it’s almost impossible to win in this league without at least 2 star talents. Yes, there’s a chance that the home run pick doesn’t work out (esp if he shows some signs of immaturity like Cousins has), but you have to try. I think Cousins would be a fantastic pick at 4, 5 or 6.

Besides, even picks considered “safe” by draft analysts often are anything but – by nature, this is a risky task. (Shawn Respert, anyone?)

I heard the kings office is split between cousins and monroe..and they work out players in the region of pick 20.. I see no trade partners except the wolves (big Al) or the spurs with tony parker in that range..have you heard anything of that direction? thanks zach, you do a great job man!! go kings!!

@Bluejohn Chances are if it seems like a no-brainer, the Wolves will opt to be brainless and pass on making that move. Cousins would be a really good pick for Minnesota but they just don't seem to be all that interested. Wesley Johnson had a great workout for them and they love his personality. I just don't see them going with Cousins when they already have questions about how to shape their frontcourt.

Man, i hope so. Cousins is a bit misunderstood and when it all comes down to it after having Hawes the least firey Center with no heart or toughness, COusins would be great. He is well worth the risk as there has been no center of his potential in many many years.

I knew immediately we needed to get this guy. Tyreke + Cousins duo could be amazing and destroy this league for many years to come. The kings just need a good 2 guard so beno can come off the bench and i can see them being a playoff team.
