I understand that a win is a win is a win, but I’m just soooooooooo sick of Reke running with his head down into the heart of the defense night after night.

“He also got Hawes and Caspi wide open looks at the rim…” Then stop passing it to fools who cannot/are not able to finish strongly.

All game long I kept hearing Grant and Jerry screaming about how great Reke is as a PG… He’s a SG who is a willing passer. Battier is good, but can Shane stop Nash cold like that? 4-22 from the field? Stop shooting so much – that’s why guys tend to stand around. When Beno is in the game, guys tend to move more, because he can do the pick and roll, Reke (love him), but he’s ok with the pick and pop, but cannot facilitate the pick and roll.

I think, although it’s not at all clear, that he meant between the ugliness of the game as described in this article vs. the actual ugliness, it’s a dead heat…i.e. not a comment on the writing ability, if anything a compliment.

Is it just me or did the Kings really start humming again when PW inserted a facilitator (Udrih)to go with our initiator (Tyreke) instead of another initiator (i.e. Kevin) or a wannabe initiator (Donte or Omri)?

Evans did shoot bad but he played a solid game and helped his team win. He was playing really good D him self on Brooks and Martin. He had 8 boards 5 ast a steal and a block. % ast in a game where the team is shooting 30% is good. He also got Casspi and Hawes wide open looks at the rim and they missed at least 5. Battier definately got in his head but he is 20, he will learn how to handle it. In the end though it was a good win, ugly but good. Houston must be embarrassed, at home against a team that had 5 road wins who were on the end of a road back to back and shot 32%.

Reke got killed by Battier, whatever, he is a rookie, he needed to pass more than he did, it happens. Count it in the win column and move on, hopefully he will live and learn and one April 12th, he will show his brain off.

I understand and watched the game, but I cringe whenever Reke puts up a jumper. What was with all those 3′s BTW

@ACME I honestly think that he gave up a little in the middle of this game. He couldn't solve Shane Battier and instead of continuing to get blocked he just settled for jumpers. That's sort of what Battier is good at.
