<a href="#comment-2341" rel="nofollow">@Nathan </a>
I believe I wrote that after the first quarter he DIDN'T do a good job of setting his teammates up at all, which is true. In the first quarter, he moved the ball well (relative to the team's success of course). But it seemed the primary goal of the offense early was for him to give it up and go into the post a little. To be honest, I was confused by the offense run throughout much of the game. Didn't seem to have a purpose and I think that has to do more with the playcalling than it does Evans.

As for Beno not playing, my guess would be that Westphal is just trying different looks and wanted to see Sergio out there since he received such sporadic playing time in the preseason. I don't think it was anything Beno did or an injury. It did surprise me as well.

I have to disagree with your assessment of Evens. It's true that he could get to the basket at will while exciting, he never looked to take advantage of the defense collapsing on him to dish it out to one of his teammates. To tell you the truth I saw little difference between an offence ran by Evens this year and the offence that was ran by Beno last year. Evens did one of two things each possession, he either lazily dribbled the ball up court and immediately passed the ball to the man at the top of the key or he looked for his own shot. I only really recall him trying to create a shot for one of his teammates on one or two occasions with his penetration (both shots were missed to be fair to Evens). While I am being overly harsh on him, (its only one game after all) I really did not see any sort of potential of him becoming a point guard, although it looks like he could be a very talented 2 guard. Honestly Martin did a better job at creating shots than Evens, but its only one game.

On a different note any guesses on why Beno got zero playing time last night? I thought that Rodriguez lost the battle for backup point guard to Beno. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad to see Beno on the bench I just did not see this coming.

<a href="#comment-2333" rel="nofollow">@Aykis16 </a>
I will be doing this for every game, although timeliness of posts will definitely vary.

It just boggles my mind to see Brockman not getting double-digit minutes. I know it's just one game but if you're getting killed inside, why not put in the guy that can't be pushed around?

Good stuff Zach. We going to be seeing this after every game?

Also I think Brockman might deserve more playing time than May. Guys a beast. He's essentially DeJuan Blair without the wingspan or post game. Still pretty good though.
