<a href="#comment-82" rel="nofollow">@ricky buckner </a>
I completely agree with you. Not only is he the play-making, potential star point guard that they desperately need but he's also an above average defender. That's huge. How many times have the Kings been beaten off the dribble at the top of the key because they didn't have a point guard who could defend (Beno, Bibby, J-Will, etc.)? Rubio slows that down considerably.

Ricky Rubio is exactly what the kings need. he's like Jason Williams without the 3 point shot being taken with 20 seconds left on the shot clock. we already have scorers with Martin and Garcia with some potential down low. there is just no one to give them the ball when they can shoot.
KINGS ALREADY HAVE SCORERS, THEY NEED A POINT GUARD.

Interesting article by hollinger saying that the knock on Rubio is he doesn't score well... great in playing point, but doesn't put any in himself

Working Ricky Rubio out by himself is like test driving a sports car without getting out of second gear. He is at his best making teammates better. It better be posturing on the Kings' part because they'd be insane to pass on him.
